YAKIMA, WA. -- The Yakima City Council is considering another ban, this time on electronic cigarettes.
E-cigs are a smoking device that allow the user to use nicotine or marijuana without producing smoke. Instead there's only vapor. The city council plans to discuss banning e-cigs in public places where regular cigarettes are not allowed.
"It's more friendly for your lungs," Lori Baer said. "It should be more environmentally friendly, so I question whether its necessary to ban it from public places."
"A little kid or 12-year-old, they might not be understanding," Ruben Berber said. "I mean they still have a little thing on their mouths. It's still projecting."
The city council will discuss the issue in a public meeting Tuesday night at six.
