KENNEWICK, WA - Sometimes it's all about money and it certainly was on Friday at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center in Kennewick.

The organization says 2013 was its largest year ever in terms of fundraising. Two checks were presented totaling more than a million dollars.
One of those checks, written for just over $355,000, is meant for the Foundation's Endowment fund.

"Humbled to be in such a community. This community gives so much. You go to other events and the community is so generous of them as well, but they've been so supportive of us and it means so much to us to be able to provide that to our families here," said Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation President, Rick Millikin.

Another portion of the money will go to the Patient Navigation Program which ensures a single nurse will be with a patient throughout their treatments.
