Three People Including 1-Year-Old Boy Injured in Accident in Mesa

MESA, WA - Three people including a 1-year-old baby boy are recovering from injuries after a car accident Friday evening.

The accident happened at 5:50 p.m. on SR 395 in Mesa.
     
Troopers say Samuel Shepard, 23 of college place was following too close when he was driving southbound on 395.

He rear-ended a Ford pick-up that was pulling a trailer and rolled off the road.
     
Shepard,  the passenger Abigail Shepard, 22 and the 1-year-old boy were all injured and transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
     
There is no word yet on their injuries but they were all wearing seatbelts.
     
The driver of the Ford pickup was not injured.
     
Troopers say the truck jackknifed and came to a stop at the median. 
 
Shepard is charged with following too close.
