SPOKANE, Wash. -

She's accused of killing three Spokane prostitutes back in 1990, but new court records released Monday show that Donna Perry (formerly Douglas Perry) told a cellmate she actually killed nine.

A Spokane Police spokesperson told KHQ's Kelsey Watts that the investigation into Perry isn't over and that police are looking into any possible links to other unsolved murder cases.

Perry was scheduled to make her first court appearance on three counts of first-degree murder for the 1990 deaths of Yolanda Sapp, Nickie Lowe and Kathleen Brisbois, but lawyers told the judge Perry declined to appear. Her court date was moved back to Tuesday as she's being held on a $1 million bond.

Court records also detail Perry's criminal history, including a federal arrest in 1988 for possessing a pipe bomb, at which time the ATF seized 22 handguns, 27 rifles and 20,000 rounds of ammunition from Perry's Spokane home.

The same records show Perry told investigators she underwent a sex change operation in Thailand in 2000 to permanently "control any violence," and that when a man becomes a woman there is "a very great turndown in violence." When detectives asked Perry about the killings and why they stopped, she said. "Douglas didn't stop, Donna stopped it."
