PROSSER, WA - Seven people were taken to the hospital to be checked out, after students and staff noticed an odorless irritant coming from a restroom at Prosser High School Tuesday afternoon.

According to Prosser School District Assistant Superintendent Mary Snitily, everyone was immediately evacuated, but they were let back into the school about 20 minutes later.

Snitily says four students and three staff members were taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital for evaluation, and were later released.

She says the school is trying to determine the cause of the smell, which she says was not a gas leak. Firefighters looked around, but they aren't sure what the cause of the smell was either.
