PASCO, WA - A Franklin County Jail corrections officer has resigned after being accused of having sex with an inmate.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Justin Husom is currently under investigation.

The sheriff's office says he resigned after being questioned about reports that he had consensual sex with a woman in return for contraband, apparently a razor.

Investigators say Husom and the woman both initially denied having any sexual contact. The state attorney general's office is reviewing the case.

Husom also made headlines back in June when an inmate at the jail allegedly attacked him with a key.

After Husom was treated for two broken ribs and released from the hospital, deputies said he had planned to return to work in a non-contact position for the time being.
