PASCO, WA - Tri-City Animal Control is looking for a puppy, and the person who stole him from the shelter.

Employees say "Pookie," a Shih Tzu, disappeared around noon on Wednesday from an area that's usually unlocked.

Animal Control Director Angela Zilar says fewer employees are at the building during lunch time, when more volunteers stop by to walk the dogs.

She says it gets so busy, that it's possible someone could have slipped by the front desk, hiding the puppy.

While Animal Control has security cameras, Zilar says she isn't sure if they were working or recording at the time.  If you see Pookie, you can call Animal Control at (509) 545-3740.
