Throwback Thursday Features Columbia Grain & Feed in Pasco
This week's Throwback Thursday feature takes us to a long time business in Pasco, Columbia Grain & Feed.
PASCO, WA - This week's Throwback Thursday feature takes us to a long time business in Pasco.
Columbia Grain and Feed opened back in 1937 on the 600 block of West Lewis Street 77 years ago. They moved to their current location, on the 2000 block of West Lewis in 1957 to be in the middle of farmland.
Third generation store manager Kevin Wattenburger hopes to continue the family business with his son taking over some day.
"There've been customers coming into the store that I remember since I was a kid, and they haven't changed a bit. It's fun watching their kids come in, their kids' kids come in, and seeing two, three, sometimes four generations of customers walk through the door," said Wattenburger.
Back in 1937 Columbia Grain and Feed only sold feed and some farm supplies.
Now they have power equipment like lawn mowers, chain saws, and generators.
Of course they're still a full feed supply store, along with selling nursery and gardening supplies.
