YAKIMA, WA - A man convicted of shooting and killing another man at a Yakima taco stand in 2001 was back in court Thursday.

Salvador Nava was found guilty eight years after the murder of Antone Masovero.

Prosecutors said they're appealing the judge's initial sentence, which was below the standard range and are asking for a longer sentence.

Nava was originally sentenced to 43 years and four months.

He was arrested in July 2008 while trying to cross the U.S. Mexico border.
