The Gonzaga Bulldogs beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys Friday afternoon 85-77!

Late Thursday afternoon the Zags finally had the chance to take the court at San Diego State campus. For the 16th straight year the Bulldogs are in the NCAA tournament. This time in a much more familiar spot. After winning the West Coast Conference Tournament just over a week ago, Gonzaga was given an 8th seed in the west region.

Last year as a one seed the Zags were taken down in the third round by Wichita State, an eventual Final Four team.

Some say Gonzaga felt the weight of the expectations that came along with their number one ranking.  This season however coach Mark Few says his team is once again flying under the radar.

Fans on both sides seem optimistic about Friday's game and with good reason. Both teams are coming in playing some of their best basketball of the year.

    SAN DIEGO - A Southern California tortoise, dubbed Humpty Dumpty by veterinarians, got an expensive repair job after cracking his shell.  San Diego County Animal Services Director Dan DeSousa says the 90-pound male African spurred tortoise probably was a pet that got loose from a yard. He says it was found Sunday after falling a the wall while escaping a dog. DeSousa says the animal's shell cracked into three pieces. Veterinarians

    WENATCHEE, Wash. - Wednesday evening an injured female hiker was rescued off a steep slope below Castle Rock, a popular hiking area in Wenatchee.  According to the Chelan County Sheriff's Office, the RIVERCOM 911 center received the first report of the fall around 3:43 p.m. from the hiker's friend. According to the friend, 18-year-old Erika Juarez had fallen at least 20 feet near the top of the Castle Rock formation, and slid an
