Previous Coverage:

Late Thursday afternoon the Zags finally had the chance to take the court at San Diego State campus. For the 16th straight year the Bulldogs are in the NCAA tournament. This time in a much more familiar spot. After winning the West Coast Conference Tournament just over a week ago, Gonzaga was given an 8th seed in the west region.

Last year as a one seed the Zags were taken down in the third round by Wichita State, an eventual Final Four team.

Some say Gonzaga felt the weight of the expectations that came along with their number one ranking.  This season however coach Mark Few says his team is once again flying under the radar.

Fans on both sides seem optimistic about Friday's game and with good reason. Both teams are coming in playing some of their best basketball of the year.
