Man Arrested in Connection with a Fatal Shooting in Yakima

UPDATE/YAKIMA, WA - Yakima Police have identified the people involved in a deadly shooting Saturday night outside the Seasons Performance Hall.

Police say 18-year-old William Escobar Martinez shot and killed 22-year-old Damarius Morgan. Officers say Martinez also shot 19-year-old Isaiah Prince, who suffered a leg injury. 

Officers arrested and booked Martinez into the Yakima County Jail Sunday morning for second degree murder.

YAKIMA, WA - Yakima Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting Saturday night. 

Yakima Police found two men in the street with gunshot wounds on the 500 block of Sgt. Pendleton Way.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the chest and died at a local hospital. A 19-year-old man was also taken to the hospital.

Yakima Police have not said what his injuries are and the names of both men have not been released.

Officers from Selah, Moxee, the Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Washington State Patrol assisted at the scene.

Several people at a rap concert in the area were taken to the Yakima Police Department to continue the investigation.

Police say shell casings at the scene indicate the weapon used was a large caliber pistol. Anyone with information should call the Yakima Police Department at 575-3212.
