KENNEWICK, WA -  The first weekend of Spring is wrapping up and local gardening stores are already seeing tons of customers.

Business is blooming.

Heritage Nursery and Garden Center said most of their customers this weekend are just picking up rock, bark and vegetables.

"Getting ready for what's to come you know cleaning out your old beds, your roses if you have roses they can be cut back now, winter grasses should be cut back by now if you have a hose available our ever greens are in desperate need of water, on a day like today is a perfect time to get out and water your ever green," Said Marsha Carter, Heritage Landscaping and Gardening.

Carter added shrubs, roses and spring perennials are all ready to get planted.
