PASCO, WA - If you're near Ochoa Middle School in Pasco on Wednesday and happen to see law enforcement around, don't panic.
The Pasco School District will be conducting an emergency response drill at Ochoa Middle School as part of the ongoing mission to provide a safe learning and working environment, while being prepared for any emergency.
The drill will be conducted in partnership with Pasco Police, Pasco Fire Department, Franklin County Sheriff's Department, and Franklin County Emergency Management.
On Wednesday morning, neighbors of Ochoa Middle School will see several police and fire vehicles in the area. First responders will be in the area before, during and after school for most of the day.
The drill will be over for students in time for lunch, but first responders will be on the scene for the rest of the day running additional training scenarios in the buildings unoccupied by students.
Tri-City Young Marines will be assisting first responders with the afternoon drills.
