Throwback Thursday! 1990 Was A Great Year For Former MLB Player & WSU Cougar, John Olerud!

KHQ.COM - Throwback Thursday! This week we have a clip from 1990 featuring former major league first baseman and WSU Cougar John Olerud. In his 17 years in the majors Olerud had a .295 average while playing for Toronto, NY Mets, NY Yankees, Seattle and Boston.The two-time All-Star had 255 home runs and 1230 RBI in his career and had Golden Glove honors while playing for the Mariners in 2000, 2002 and 2003. In his years with Toronto he helped lead the team to two World Series championships. He led the majors in batting average in 1993 (.363). While at WSU he was named college player of the year as a sophomore in 1988.
