KENNEWICK, WA - The oldest retired Washington State Patrol trooper was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and still lives in Kennewick.

Bob Rupp got a visit from some fellow officers on Thursday morning at Life Care Center. He spent 34 years working for WSP and once he retired he was convinced to run for officer. He then added

"I'm the oldest in the state, retired. It's great. I'm going to be 100 in December so I've had a good life. I raised a good family," said Rupp.

As a state trooper, Rupp had several different assignments. One of them he found most interesting was protecting former Governor Dan Evans.
