Three fishermen are rescued after getting their drift boat stuck on the Yellowstone River near Livingston.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon near the Miles Park baseball fields. The drift boat turned sideways and got stuck on some rocks.
All three men, Jeff Courts and Zac Lawrence from Columbus and Charles Noyes from Big Timber were wearing life jackets.
Park County Officials said the group couldn't walk back to shore because the water was too swift.
They say an incident like this is not unusual for this time of year.
"People should be prepared if you are going to float the river," said Park County Undersheriff Scott Hamilton "You also want to make sure everyone is wearing a life jacket, is dressed for the conditions and are aware of the hazards as the water levels come up."
Hamilton said his department has responded to 20 river rescues in the last two years.
