Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced the following roster moves at the Mariners Major League spring camp Friday afternoon to set the Opening Day roster.

Optioned to AAA Tacoma (4):

Right-Handed Pitcher (2): Blake Beavan, Brandon Maurer

Left-Handed Pitcher (1): Lucas Luetge

Infielder (1): Nick Franklin

Re-Assigned to Minor League Camp (6):

Right-Handed Pitcher (4): Zach Miner, Dominic Leone, Ramon Ramirez, Carson Smith

Catcher (1): Humberto Quintero

Outfielder (1): Endy Chavez

Selected/Added to 40-Man Roster (2):

Left-Handed Pitcher (2) Roenis Elias, Joe Beimel

Designated for Assignment (2):

Outfielder (1): Xavier Avery

Infielder (1): Carlos Triunfel

Today's roster moves leave the Mariners with 28 players in their Major League camp, with three players likely to be placed on the disabled list (RHP Hisashi Iwakuma, RHP Taijuan Walker, RHP Stephen Pryor) in the coming days.

Mariners Manager Lloyd McClendon has also set his starting rotation for the first road trip of the season:
