NEAR COULEE CITY, WA - Grant County Sheriff Deputies say an 8-year-old boy from Ephrata has now died after a car he was in went into a canal on Sunday.
Deputies say Korey Kolves was in the car with his father and two other siblings. 45-year-old Scott Kolves is still missing.
Divers resumed the search for the man on Monday, but deputies say they believe he may have drowned near Pinto Dam at Summer Falls, north of Moses Lake.
Deputies say some fisherman saved two of the three children after the car drove into the water. Deputies saved the young boy, but couldn't find the children's father. Witnesses say they saw all four people get out of the car, and into the water.
Paramedics took the three children to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake where Korey Kolves later died. Deputies say the two children who survived suffered non-life threatening injuries.
