YVCC Starting First Ever Bachelor Degree Program

YAKIMA, WA - Yakima Valley Community College will offer its first Bachelor Degree program starting this fall.

Interested students who completed at least an Associate Degree can now apply for one of 20 full-time or 20 part-time spots in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management program.

Staff at the college said they looked into creating the program after statistics show a demand for managerial positions in Yakima in the near future.

They also worked with Heritage University and Central Washington University to avoid copying any of their programs.

This new bachelor program will lead the way for students to pursue a masters degree at universities around the country.

There will be informational meetings about the degree Thursday and Friday at the HUB on the Yakima campus.

There will also be meetings on April 8th and 13th in the Parker Room at the Deccio Higher Education Center

There will be informational meeting at their Grandview campus on April 9th.
