The Bulldogs did not hold a lead in the game as USD scored the first run off Zag starter Brandon Bailey in the first. Conner Joe singled to open the day and later scored on an Austin Bailey base hit through the right side.

Gonzaga’s lone run of the game tied San Diego in the top of the second. Sam Brown singled to right field and advanced to third on two Louie Lechich wild pitches. Joey Harris scored Brown for his fourth RBI of the year on a single up the middle.
