Spokane Man Stabbed Trying To Thwart Burglary In Own Home; Suspect On Loose

SPOKANE, Wash. - Just before 10am on Monday morning, a resident of a home in the 1500 block of W. Jackson came up from the basement to find a man in his refrigerator. When the resident confronted the suspect, there was a struggle and the suspect grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the resident of the home in the abdomen.

The resident was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not initially know which way the suspect fled and are searching the area looking for anyone who may match the suspect description.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 ft. tall, about 30-years-old with sandy blonde hair and a goatee. He was wearing a blue hoodie and an Atlanta Braves baseball hat with blue jeans.
