UPDATE/NEAR WEST RICHLAND, WA - The fire at the home North Harrington Road north of West Richland is contained.

Firefighters say no one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was hurt. Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

More than 50 firefighters from multiple agencies in Benton and Franklin County helped knock down the flames.

"There is absolutely no way any department in this area could do without the automatic aid and the mutual aid that we do for each other here. We are so few resources throughout the area, without it... We couldn't have contained this fire, probably, to one property," Benton County Fire District 4 Fire Chief Bill Whealan explained to NBC Right Now.

We're told that the homeowners have family around town and didn't need any help from the red cross.
