Gonzaga's Graves Accepts Oregon Offer

Gonzaga women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves has agreed to become the next head coach at the University of Oregon, the school announced Monday.

Graves led the Gonzaga women’s program to unprecedented heights during his 14-year tenure in Spokane, either winning outright or sharing the West Coast Conference regular season title in each of the past 10 seasons, and winning the WCC Tournament title in six of those seasons. Graves has also led Gonzaga to the NCAA Tournament in seven of the past eight seasons, including the program’s first-ever Elite Eight appearance in 2011.

The eight-time WCC Coach of the Year holds a .702 career winning percentage as a head coach during stops at both Saint Mary’s and Gonzaga.

Oregon’s head coaching position was left vacant after the school fired Paul Westhead following the 2013-14 season.
