Washington State Athletic Director Bill Moos and new Cougar head basketball coach Ernie Kent visited the SWX Studios on Wednesday, April 9, to talk about the new era of WSU basketball.

Hear about the bond that Kent and Moos formed while they worked together at the University of Oregon and what they plan to do with the Washington State men's program. Moos was the Athletic Director at Oregon from 1995-2007 and was the man in charge for part of the time while Kent was the Duck's head coach from 1997-2010.

Kent was hired on March 31st and introduced as the Cougars head coach on April 2nd. Kent also announced two of the members of his coaching staff--Greg Graham and Silvey Dominguez--later that same day.

Kent becomes the 18th head coach in WSU men's basketball history replacing Ken Bone who went 80-86 in his 5 years in prowling the sidelines in Pullman. Bone's best finish came in the 2010-11 season when the Cougs went 22-13 and made a trip to the NIT Semifinals. But the Cougars failed to win Pac-10/12 games under Bone, going 29-62 in conference play. Kent lead Oregon to two Elite Eight finishes and was 235-174 (109-125 Pac-10) in his 13 seasons in Eugene.
