Kennewick Police Arrest Two Men for Burglaries

KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police say they've caught two men tied to multiple recent burglaries.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Cameron E. Campbell of Richland and 21-year-old Calvin W. Fox of Kennewick early Wednesday morning.

Police say an employee at Stratton Surveying noticed the two men walking in a field nearby on his way to work. Officers say the employee thought the men might have been involved in a burglary at the business the day before, so he called 911 and watched them until police arrived.

Police say they later learned both men had ditched backpacks in bushes nearby that were filled with burglary tools. Officers say they believe the men may also be tied to some recently burglaries in the area.

Police booked them both into the Benton County Jail.

"The police officer said there had been multiple break ins up and down this whole section of Deschutes, so it was very helpful for us as well as everyone else. I think we'll sleep better knowing that at least these two who have been repeat offenders apparently are in jail now," said Stratton Surveying and Mapping owner, Aaron Dyck.
