Major Delays Expected Near Snoqualmie Pass for Two Weeks
Drivers traveling on I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass may soon experience some long delays.
SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA - Drivers traveling on I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass may soon experience some long delays.
The Washington state Department of Transportation is planning construction starting Saturday, April 12. Crews will restrict traffic to a single lane in each direction along a 4-mile stretch between milepost 56 and milepost 60. Crews will be preparing detours for the 2014 construction season and removing the 64-year-old snowshed near milepost 58.
The closure will run every day from April 12 at 10 p.m. until April 26 at 9 a.m.
WSDOT suggests drivers travel early or late, find alternate routes, or postpone trips. If drivers don't they could experience delays of up to two hours.
