Volunteers Give Downtown Pasco a Spring Cleaning

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA-- Downtown Pasco got some spring cleaning Saturday.

It's part of a revitalization program organized by the Downtown Pasco Authority.

They gather a group of volunteers once a month to clean up a part of downtown Pasco.

Saturday they picked up Peanuts Park.

Organizers say it's a way to take pride in their city and make it a better place for the community to enjoy.

"The base of it is to build a community with the organizations that have stepped up to do it. Our goal is to have as many people build the community as possible and help out," said Mike Goins, Downtown Pasco Authority.

Goins says, encourages community members to get involved in their revitalization efforts.
