SPOKANE, Wash. - What does 'Global Engagement' mean to you? Tonight at 7pm four finalists from Gonzaga University will be speaking on this topic and what it means to them and you can watch the whole thing right here on KHQ.COM.  KHQ's Stephanie Vigil has been asked to be a judge for this, the 2nd Annual "John Quincy Adams Speech Competition."

Gonzaga's Broadcast Studies Department will be hosting and broadcasting the event from their television studio on campus. The show will stream LIVE at 7pm and your participation is requested by voting for your favorite speaker via Twitter while you watch.

A lot is on the line for the students who participate as there is a $1,000 prize package for the 3 finalists with $750 going to the first place winner of this "American Idol-esque" style show.

MORE INFO ON GONZAGA'S BROADCAST STUDIES DEPARTMENT:

For those of you who are not aware, Gonzaga University has a broadcast studies department for students looking to have a career in television. The department broadcasts LIVE shows hosted and run completely by students from their on-campus studio every Monday and Wednesday. Shows and showtimes can vary a little but the department consistently airs three main shows: a news style show, a sports show and a talk show.

Some of you may have tuned in to listen to GUTV host a LIVE debate a couple months ago about the Daiquiri Factory's controversial "Date Grape Kool Aid" that picked up a lot of traction at television stations, including one in California.

All of their shows are broadcast online at www.GUTVLive.com. If you can't tune in when the shows start, all of their shows are archived for later viewing at the same link. The benefit of tuning in LIVE however, is that many of their shows allow you to participate via twitter.
