Flooding Pushes Bullock To Ask President For Help

HELENA -

Governor Steve Bullock reaches out to the President for emergency assistance after last month's widespread flooding and ice jams.

Bullock's letter to President Obama talks about the damage done to roads, bridges, and buildings, saying that the state doesn't have enough money to foot the repair bill.

Fifteen counties, as well as the Crow, Northern Cheyenne, and Blackfeet reservations, have declared an emergency or disaster.

Bullock says any federal funds cannot be used to repair private property.
