PREVIOUS COVERAGE:

NEAR RICHLAND, WA - Washington State Patrol is considering whether to issue a citation after a truck hauling 36,000 pounds of apples overturned on the interstate.

Troopers say the accident happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday when Lauro Santos Castellanos, 51, rounded the on-ramp from I-182 westbound onto I-82 eastbound. They say the accident happened because Santos Castellanos wasn't paying attention and was going too fast.

Paramedics took Santos Castellanos to Kadlec Medical Center with minor injuries.

The apples didn't spill but crews moved the boxes onto a new truck.
