The Beast on the MSU Defensive Line: Taylor Sheridan

Posted: Updated:
Media and coaches have described defensive tackle Taylor Sheridan as physically imposing. The junior only knows how to play one way.

"Aggressive. The past few years have been trying to get used to the speed and making sure I'm doing the right thing being where I'm at but now we're emphasizing getting off and making the offensive line across from us not want to be across from us," said Sheridan.

Last season's win loss record drove him to work hard in the off season.

"Season we had last year. Being 7-5 kind of all cut us a little deep it's not where we were expecting so just as a team we drove each other to be the best that we could and obviously do a lot better than last year," said Sheridan.

Taylor is a hard worker off the field, and Coach Ash describes it like this.

"Taylor is one of those guys they call him a meat head lovingly and I think that's a good term because what it means is he loves to be in the weight room he loves to work out he loves to talk about football and he likes to get pumped up while working out," said head coach Rob Ash.

"He's a beast. He's partially not human. He gets it he gets the d line way that its hard work and everything he does is to the toughest he can do it," said defensive line coach Bo Beck.

Sheridan has a specific off the field interest.

"I'm in love with anything have to do with shooting guns. I'm not necessarily the biggest hunter but I'd love to go," said Sheridan.
