SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office notified KHQ on Wednesday that K9 Laslo is still recovering after being attacked by another dog on April 7th while responding to a burglary and assault call.

Laslo was actually scheduled for surgery this past Monday, but Deputy Thurman said Laslo's condition significantly improved over the weekend and the surgery was canceled.

Deputy Mark Gregory said Laslo is excited to get back to work, however. Gregory said Laslo is finding it hard to sit still and runs out to the patrol car every morning and puts his nose to the door handle, expecting to go to work.

The Sheriff's Office wants to thank everyone for their support and they are hoping Laslo will be back out on patrol very soon.
