Frontage Road Crash Victim Identified

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

The Gallatin County coroner says 30-year-old Kari Friedman from Bozeman died in a crash at the intersection of Frontage and Valley Center Roads Wednesday.

The Montana Highway Patrol said Friedman was turning left onto Frontage Road from Valley Center Road in a Subaru Outback, when a man driving a Dodge Ram heading east on Frontage Road hit the car.

The crash shut down the intersection for more than three hours.

The man was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital with injuries.

His condition still isn't known.

MHP troopers warn drivers how dangerous this intersection is.

"This is an intersection you have to be careful of, no doubt," said Brad Moore, MHP trooper.  "We've had a fatal wreck here. There're two crosses right over there at that intersection."

Those crosses were installed by the Montana Department Of Transportation to inform drivers just how many people lost their lives at that intersection.
