Powdered Alcohol May Soon Be Coming To A Store Near You

Posted: Updated:
KHQ.com - The Federal Government recently approved "Palcohol" for consumer consumption. What is "Palcohol"? It's alcohol. In powdered form. All you have to do is add water to the powder packet and you've got yourself an instant cocktail.

One major concern of the product is users snorting it, rather than mixing it. The company's website states that is not how you are suppose to use it:

We have seen comments about goofballs wanting to snort it. Don't do it! It is not a responsible or smart way to use the product. To take precautions against this action, we've added volume to the powder so it would take more than a half of a cup of powder to get the equivalent of one drink up your nose. You would feel a lot of pain for very little gain. Just use it the right way.

Right now there are four versions going into production: Cosmopolitan, Mojito, Powderita (margarita) and Lemon Drop. The package weighs about an ounce and is small enough to fit in any pocket. Some people are arguing that makes it easier to sneak into places where alcohol is not allowed, or is overpriced, such as concert venues.

The company expects the product to be available wherever liquor is sold this fall.
