People of Yakima Asked to Fill Out Questionnaire on Downtown Plaza Design

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, WA - The city of Yakima is encouraging as many people as possible to fill out a questionnaire about design concepts for the proposed Downtown Central Plaza. City officials say they want to give the design team a broad range of feedback to work with, and they want input to come from a true cross section of the community.

The two-page questionnaire can be filled out electronically on the City’s website. The English version of the questionnaire can be accessed on the City's website at http://www.yakimawa.gov/services/downtown/central-plaza-questionnaire/link. The link to the Spanish version of the questionnaire is http://www.yakimawa.gov/services/downtown/plazacentral-cuestionario/.

The questionnaire can be filled out any time over the next three weeks. It will close on Friday, May 9th. The plaza design team is scheduled to visit Yakima again in May to share some of the feedback that will have been gathered from the questionnaire. Preliminary plans for a plaza could be done by late summer with final designs ready for review in early fall of this year.
