Posted: Updated:
UNION GAP, WA.--NBC Right Now was on the scene of a fatal rollover car accident Wednesday, along Interstate 82 near mile post 40.

State Patrol Troopers said 42-year-old Gloria Benitez  had just passed Union Gap when she lost control of the car, hit the embankment and rolled several times.

Troopers said Benitez wasn't wearing a seatbelt and she was ejected from the car.

State troopers said she was unconscious when they transported her to a local hospital. Sadly, we have learned that Benitez has died from her injuries.

Troopers said the cause of the crash is unknown at this time. The Yakima County Coroner says toxicology results will be back in about six weeks.
