Double Shooting At Home In Spokane Valley

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Just after 3:30 Friday morning, police responded to a shooting in Spokane Valley. Major Crimes continues to investigate this incident but what we know is that when police arrived on scene, they found shell casings on the ground outside of a home at the intersection of Broadway and Dick Rd. as well as bullet holes in the house.

Shortly after police arrived, they were notified that two men had just been dropped off at a nearby hospital by either themselves or a friend, with non-life-threatening injuries due to gun shots they received at the same location.

At this point police do not have a suspect in custody. KHQ's Matt Rogers did say that police had someone detained in a cop car at one point but that person has since been let go.

This shooting occurred near Centennial Middle School but classes will not be affected.

We will continue to update you on this story as we get more information.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The Legislature's failure to pass a capital budget means the state Department of Natural Resources is short of money to deal with unhealthy forests. The Legislature adjourned Thursday night without passing a capital budget, costing DNR $15 million to remove trees struck by insect blight, disease or drought. Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz says the agency needed the money to remove dead and dying trees.
