Great Falls Man Facing Three Felony Charges of Rape

Posted: Updated:
GREAT FALLS - A Great Falls man charged with three felony counts, including sexual intercourse without consent, made his initial appearance in Cascade County Justice Court Wednesday.

Alfonso Anthony Salas is accused of sexually assaulting his 13 year old stepdaughter for several years, according to court documents.

The abuse was first discovered when the young victim confided in a therapist causing the victim's mother to take her daughter out of the house and leave Salas.

Salas was so upset when he lost his family that he threatened to commit suicide, and police say he confessed to the abuse when questioned. Salas said that the abuse had been going on since his stepdaughter was around ten years old.

Bail for Salas was set at $50,000 dollars due to the violent and graphic nature of the case.
