Throwback Thursday: Bloomsday Back In 1989!

SPOKANE, Wash. - Do you love the 80's? Do you love Bloomsday? This week's Throwback features some awesome footage from Bloomsday 25 years ago. Were you there? We'd like to know. The overall male/female winners in 1989 were John Halvorsen (his time: 34:21) and Lynn Williams (her time: 39:30). According to bloomsdayrun.org, 56,280 registered for the race, 52,457 finished.

    WASHINGTON (AP) - Microsoft has an eye on its international customers as it confronts the Trump administration in a Supreme Court fight about turning over emails to investigators.    The justices will hear arguments Tuesday over whether the company, as part of a drug trafficking investigation, must comply with an American warrant for emails stored on a server in a Microsoft facility in Ireland.

    LAREDO, Texas (AP) - As vehicles line up at the Border Patrol’s checkpoint a half-hour drive’s north of the U.S.-Mexico border, its agents have around 10 seconds to check each driver and decide which few they will stop for additional inspection. It’s a situation challenged constantly by smugglers, sometimes with deadly consequences.
