Throwback Thursday: Bloomsday Back In 1989!

SPOKANE, Wash. - Do you love the 80's? Do you love Bloomsday? This week's Throwback features some awesome footage from Bloomsday 25 years ago. Were you there? We'd like to know. The overall male/female winners in 1989 were John Halvorsen (his time: 34:21) and Lynn Williams (her time: 39:30). According to bloomsdayrun.org, 56,280 registered for the race, 52,457 finished.

    WASHINGTON - Congressional Democrats want to give a big salary bump to teachers and pay for it by canceling the tax cut for the nation's top 1 percent of earners. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday are expected to propose giving states and school districts $50 billion over a decade for teacher raises and recruitment.

    SPOKANE, Wash.- Friends and family are devastated and heartbroken over the death of 28-year-old Corey Ward, who was stabbed and slashed by a killer. Ward did not survive and so far, Spokane police haven't made any arrests. It happened on May 17 just before midnight in the 2400 block of West Cleveland in Northwest Spokane.
