KENNEWICK, WA - Run for Ribbons is about a week away, but organizers are helping you get ready by throwing a T-shirt Decorating Party.

The annual tradition is designed to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer, while also celebrating survival and bringing hope to those still battling the disease.

Pat Braddock is a breast cancer survivor. She says there's still hope, no matter how many people are affected by the disease.

"Never, never, never give up hope," said Braddock. "There has been so much research done on all types of cancers and it's going on every day...that's why we're doing the Run for Ribbons."

The T-shirt Decorating Party is May 2nd at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, located at 7350 W. Deschutes Avenue in Kennewick. The event is from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and supplies are provided.

The actual race/walk is Saturday, May 10th at Howard Amon Park in Richland.
