Community Spotlight: Cruisin the Drag

On our May 1st's Community Spotlight, Tori Bender met up with Erin Doran from the Downtown Great Falls Association, to hear about the 15th Anniversary of Cruisin the Drag.

The event is being held on May 3rd. Those who want to show off their cars can register by Bennett Motors from 8:00-10:00. All of the cars being shown will be lined up on Central Avenue. Tons of food and venders will also be there at each intersection. The winners of the event will be offered cash and/or trophy's for their categories.

This is also a family event. They are offering tons of games for the kids. Plus the Children's Museum will be free to the public all day.

    KFBB is receiving reports of shots fired in Great Falls Sunday evening.  Just before 9:30pm, it was reported that a shot was fired on the 500 block of 22nd Avenue Northeast in Great Falls, near the Walmart Shopping Center.  It is unclear at this time if anyone was injured, or if there is a suspect.        4:45 p.m.    The mayor of the town of Harlem has ordered the evacuation of a handful of homes that are threatened by flooding.    Mayor K.M. Hansen says Wednesday's order affects about four homes surrounded by water north of the railroad tracks.     GREAT FALLS - Another store is shutting its doors in the Electric City.  This time it's due to the liquidation of its parent company.  All Herberger stores across the nation will be closing.  A U.S. bankruptcy judge is expected to decide today on the acquisition of the Bon-Ton stores chain. Despite the negatives, one resident in Big Sandy is using this as an opportunity to go canoeing.
