SPOKANE, Wash. - An individual very close to Jeremy Arnold sat down with KHQ on Thursday for an exclusive interview after Arnold showed up at this person’s home just hours after Arnold killed Tracy Fergerstrom. We will not disclose the gender or the identity of this individual for their safety, but following this conversation we learned more about the timeline of how this big story played out.

Spokane Police responded to a home on the 2500 block of North Standard in Spokane at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning following a report of a dead body. When they arrived they found a woman murdered inside. Four hours after the murder investigation got underway the suspected killer Jeremy Arnold returned to the crime scene with what appeared to be a weapon. Arnold was shot and killed by police.

But we now know that this murder was committed before 7 a.m. on Tuesday because that is when Jeremy Arnold showed up to the home of the person interviewed by KHQ. At that time Arnold demanded guns, but the individual we spoke with noticed Arnold had a huge gash in his hand and blood was everywhere.

“I looked down at his hand and he had a gash that was an inch and a half wide, fully open. He was bleeding like a fish,” this person said. “I asked what happened to his hand and he said it was a fight don't worry about it, just a bar fight. Then he told me things were really bad.”

After the conversation about his hand Arnold continued to demand that this person give him guns.

“Of course I told him I didn't have any and he knows I have them so he kept pushing for me to give him a gun,” this person said. “I told him I got rid of them. He said if at any point you ever give me a firearm today would be the day. And I told him it ain't going to happen.”

Arnold left the house and told this person that that was “goodbye” and that his “life was in the tubes.” It was just a few hours after this conversation that this person learned Arnold committed a murder and later he returned to the scene where he was shot and killed by police.

“The best thing I did was tell him to go away, not give him a firearm, and not let him intimidate me into thinking that I didn't have a choice because I feel that there would be officers not going home to their families if I gave in.”

“In a crowd of 1000 criminals there is only one like him,” this person said. “I'm not talking about shoplifters and jaywalkers and petty criminals. I'm talking that in a room full of hardened criminals he'd want to be known as the top dog, the go to guy, the boss.”

This person said Arnold was one of the most dangerous people he has ever met and this person thinks that Arnold’s death was bit of a blessing in disguise because he thinks this very tragic scene could have easily been worse.
