Kennewick Police Arrest Man Accused of Making Fake 911 Calls

Posted: Updated:
KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police have arrested a 32-year-old man, who is believed to have made over 25 calls to 9-1-1 since December.

Officers say since December 2013, somebody has been calling in fake emergency calls to 9-1-1.  Officers kept responding to a trailer on the 2000 block of North Steptoe Street in Kennewick, only to find there was no emergency.  There have been over 25 fake 9-1-1 calls made for just that address.

On Friday, police arrested Curtis Simmons Torres for the fake 911 calls and he was booked on felony charges.
