Richland Operations Office Manager at Hanford Announces Retirement

RICHLAND, WA. - The Department of Energy's Richland Operations Office Manager at Hanford has announced his retirement.

Matt McCormick on Tuesday made the announcement for his retirement come mid-June. He says he plans to spend additional time with family and would like to eventually do more work in a private sector.

McCormick was named Richland Operations Office Manager in July 2010. Prior to that he was assistant manager for the Central Plateau in Richland for seven years.

Deputy Site Manager Doug Shoop will fill in for McCormick until a new manager is selected.
