KENNEWICK, WA - If you are a fan of the blues, beer and wine, you'll want to be at the Benton County Fairgrounds this weekend for the 18th Annual UnTapped Blues & Brews Festival.

It is the largest music festival in the Tri-Cities and thousands of people attend every year.

This year's lineup includes both local and regional bands, with Peach & the Blues All-Stars and Rick Estrin & the Night Cats headlining the festival.
More than 30 breweries will have beer on tap; there will also be food and wine vendors at the festival.

UnTapped almost didn't happen this year after Dave Nichols, the organizer of the event, announced he couldn't handle the planning and financial responsibility on his own anymore. Fortunately, Townsquare Media Events and other sponsors stepped in and made it happen.

"Where else are you going to see world-class blues players," asked Al Holman, the director of live events for Townsquare Media Events. "Where else can you get all these different breweries and all these amenities together...it's a great chance to come in and relax and have a great time."

The festival kicks off Friday, May 9th with Blues on the Columbia River, at the Clover Island Inn, starting at 4:00 p.m. The main event is Saturday, May 10th, from noon until 11:00 p.m., at the Benton County Fairgrounds.

With these temperatures outside, it is really starting to feel like summer. This means you might be getting the boat ready to take out on the water. In order to have fun in the sun, you'll want to make sure your boat is safe and your passengers will be too. Today we stopped by the 19th Annual Boat and RV show to get some tips from the Benton County Sheriffs and Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteers. They say you should take inventory of your boat to see if anything may have gotten lost ...More >>
