SPOKANE, Wash. -

Where in the world in Casey Kasem? His daughter thinks he may be at an Indian reservation in Washington state. KHQ spoke with the Eastern Washington tribes on Tuesday and they said that they have not been contacted by any law enforcement agency in regards to the whereabouts of Casey Kasem. The Department of Social and Health Services said they have no reason to believe Kasem is in Eastern Washington.

On Monday a California judge ordered an investigation into Kasem’s whereabouts and gave a temporary conservatorship until the next hearing later this month.

Lawyers in Spokane told KHQ Tuesday that family disputes over health care decisions are common when are person is determined to be incompetent. The legendary 82-year-old radio show host is battling Parkinson’s disease. Family law attorney Bevan Maxey said that typically the spouse would get guardianship rights, but not always.

Sometimes because of age or because of unwillingness or improper motives or behavior, they would pick somebody other than the spouse,” Bevan Maxey said. “But normally, under most circumstances if the spouse was competent, they would pick the spouse.”

After the ruling his daughter should be in charge of his health care decisions at least for the time being, but as of right now she doesn’t know where her dad is located. When we receive an update on his location we will let you know.
