KENNEWICK, WA - Luck is certainly on one Kennewick man's side. Jeremiah Faith has won Washington's Lottery not just once, but five times in the past four years!
Most recently, Faith won $10,002 playing Match 4 on April 28th Faith has been on a winning streak since 2010, as he has claimed $290,000 in prizes.
On April 26, Faith won $10,002 playing Match 4 on a ticket he purchased at the Kennewick Yoke's. He claimed his prize at the Yakima Regional Office on April 28.
Last year in May, Faith won big twice in two days, winning $10,008 on May 4, 2013, and $10,040 on May 5, 2013 to take home a total of $20,048. Before that pay out, he won $10,000 playing Match 4 in March 2013, and a $250,000 Mega Millions prize on May 7, 2010.
Faith claims he doesn't have any superstitions or good luck charms, but he seems to have identified the right times of the week and month to play: "I play every day, but so far I usually only win on Friday, Saturday and Sundays," he told Lottery officials. Faith also shared he normally wins towards the end of each month.
When it comes to picking the four numbers for the Match 4 game, he says he normally plays the same numbers each time. "I like some numbers more than others, but if one number isn't working, I'm not afraid to change it," he said.
When asked what it's like to win the Lottery so often, he says, it's all about staying positive. "I think to myself, the Lottery is there for anybody to win. Anyone can win, you just have to believe you can!"
With his previous winnings, he was able to return to one of his favorite hobbies: rebuilding old cars. Faith was able to refurbish his 1964 T-Bird. As for his future plans, he's going to keep playing, he explains. "I'm going to see how many times I can win. I wouldn't mind winning Mega Millions or Powerball, he said."
