NHRA Drag Racing Coming to SCR

Drivers from around the Northwest are getting ready for top action this weekend on the Lucas Oil Drag Strip at Spokane County Raceway as the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series returns to Spokane. Over 300 cars are expected to race over the weekend long event.

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series features premier events across the country in all seven NHRA divisions. This weekend’s action is one of 25 regional events and will featuring Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Gas, Super Street, Motorcycle, Super-Pro and Pro classes.

“Racers and teams competing in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series are such an integral part of our sport,” said Morgan Lucas of Lucas Oil Products. “We will never lose sight of the fact they helped build Lucas Oil into the worldwide brand it has become. These people are like family to us, and we’re honored to continue our support.”

This weekend’s event is the second of the Series for the Northwest Division and will feature drivers from throughout the division, which entails Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana. Stock cars will be running their third point’s event on the SCR Super Oval Saturday as well. Fans will get two shows, for a single admission price as part of SCR’s commitment to provide fans with outstanding entertainment family week in and week out. Car classes are the Pony Stocks, Road Runners, and the Black Diamond Bump 2 Pass.

This weekend is Lucas Oil Fan Appreciation Weekend”. Fans who register for the Spokane County Raceway e-mail newsletter, will receive $8 off the $20 spectator admission. Fans can register online at www.racing.sc by filling out the form at the bottom of the page. Bring a copy of your registration confirmation with you to SCR to receive the discount.
